Coriander is a seed spice that’s been cultivated since Ancient times. Coriander is an Annual herb.
The dried seeds are what we know as coriander, and they’ve been used as a Culinary spice.
Coriander seeds and essential oil both have blood sugar-lowering effects on the human body.
The health benefits of coriander include its use in the treatment of skin inflammation, high cholesterol levels, diarrhea, anemia, and indigestion.
Coriander leaves are used in almost in all Indian Homes and I love fresh Coriander leaves, especially when I have in my own Backyard Garden.

Coriander is a cooling spice to use, especially in summer and it is really good for those, who feel more hot. all parts of the coriander plant are edible. The leaves are most often used fresh, while the seeds can be used whole or ground into a powder and used as a spice like any other spice.
It is believed that Coriander is considered both, a warming and cooling herb, depending on the, how you use it? Means the leaves are said to be cooling and can be used into juice and to garnish all types of raw salads and soups. Question: 3. How to Store Coriander fresh Leaves?
Answer: 3. When we’ve Coriander in our own Garden, then there is no need to store it. But when we buy from a Grocery Store and especially in Winter it is expensive, then first of all wash it nicely under running water, so there are no impurities.
After that let it dry in the Room temperature (so there is no water left in coriander) and then put in any Plastic bag and make two to three wholes in it, then it will be fresh for a Week(keep in your Refrigerator).
How to Use Coriander?

There are many ways to use coriander. I use a lot of coriander in my daily diet. Mostly I use fresh coriander and even I plant my own coriander in my Backyard Garden and in pots as well. When in winter due to snow I don’t have my own coriander, I buy from grocery store, but I use a lot.
You can use coriander to make fresh Green Coriander Juice, Coriander Chutney, Garnish all your Soups with coriander, use in soups.
1. How to Make Coriander Juice in Blender?
Serving one person
- Take some fresh coriander washed or soaked in water for sometime before use it
- Put soaked or washed coriander in the blender
- Pour little over than a half glass of water
- Blend it and strain to the glass
- Add Pink salt and 1/2 fresh lemon juice squeezed at home( lemon juice and pink salt is optional) to enhance the taste, but better to drink without both. Means drink as it is
- Drink right away and do not drink anything else for an hour
- You can drink it continuously for couple of days.
2. How to Make Coriander Chutney?
Coriander Chutney is very tasty that you can make it at Home very easily with few Ingredients; such as Amla, Onion, Green Chili, Coriander leaves and few Spices; such as Salt, Coriander Powder, Black pepper and Oregano leaves.
- Peel and wash medium size onion or you can use green onions
- Take fresh coriander leaves
- One to two green chilies
- If available, you can put some fresh mint leaves or oregano leaves
- 1/2 fresh lemon juice squeezed at home
- Put everything in the blender
- Add Pink Salt, Oregano dry leaves and all above ingredients and blend to make the paste
- Enjoy this chutney with Rice, Paratha and Chapati.
- This Chutney is very tasty, refreshing and good for the the health
How to Make Coriander Water?
There are three ways to make coriander water.
1. Recipe to Make Coriander Cold Water

First Way to To make coriander water, all you have to do is soak 1 tablespoon coriander seeds in 1 cup drinking water, overnight. In the morning, strain the seeds and drink the water.
2. Recipe to Make Hot Coriander Water
Serving one person
In a saucepan pour One and half cup of water and when it is little hot, then put one spoon of dry coriander seeds and let it boil for couple of minutes. Strain and drink little hot for couple of days.
3. Recipe to Make Coriander water from Fresh Coriander
Serving one person
In a saucepan, pour one and half cup of water and when it is little hot, then put fresh coriander and let it boil for couple of minutes. Then strain this water and drink little hot and this water you can drink continuously. Believe me it is so tasty and the color comes so beautiful that makes you beautiful.
